Cosworth wins SEMA Global Media Award

At the recent SEMA show held in Las Vegas, Cosworth was honored to receive the SEMA Global Media Award for the new Mazda MX5 Cosworth Supercharger system.

Recognizing the increasing global appeal of specialty automotive style and performance equipment, SEMA presented the annual Global Media Awards to select member companies. Held at the 2008 SEMA Show, the award ceremony attracted hundreds of international buyers, SEMA-member company representatives and the press.

Winners were selected by a prestigious jury comprised of international journalists representing 48 titles and 23 countries. The voting panel reviewed over 2000 new style and performance products introduced at the SEMA Show, and from these each journalist selected products that would most interest enthusiasts in their respective country.

"We are honored to have been selected for the award" said Cosworth Sales Manager Ken Jacobs. "The Cosworth Supercharger system represents a major addition to the Cosworth performance parts range and the first of many supercharger systems to come".

"The automotive specialty-equipment market is booming worldwide and the opportunities that exist for SEMA members in international markets are abundant, as evidenced by China's recent decision to legalize vehicle personalization," said Linda Spencer, SEMA director of international relations. "As the market's largest trade event,  the SEMA Show attracts more and more international businesses each year".

The Cosworth Mazda MX5 Supercharger system is available for 2006-2008 Mazda MX5's and is engineered as an all inclusive system that dramatically increases the vehicles performance.
